Behavioural Targeted Advertising

October 15th, 2009

Behavioral targeted advertising is the latest buzz word in the industry. What is it, and how does it help you market your product? Well, Behavioural advertising is the idea that visitors are more likely to click on ad’s that interest them – so why not just show them ad’s that interest them.

It’s easier said then done, but really imagine the benefits of advertising golf clubs just to golfers (or at least people who are interested in golf), advertising mechanics services to visitors who own a vehicle. The list goes on. Almost all of the advertising networks on the internet are utilising targeted ad’s, google call’s them interest-based advertising. But just how much can the advertisers really know about a person to target ad’s? More then you would think. We have set up a demonstration page just to show you some of the amazing information that can be learnt just from understanding your visitors.

To see what we already know about you, have a look at just how smart our banner advertising exchange really is. This is why we are the smart banner exchange, and really do provide value to our advertisers and their website visitors who are able to find product/services of interest.

How do you know your banners are actually being displayed?

October 8th, 2009

One of the big issues with banner exchanges, is that everyone wants to be rewarded for displaying banner ad’s, but no-one really wants them on their website. So how do you know when you buy ad’s that they will be shown to visitors?

Easy. One of the things we are proud of at Brinkin Banner Exchange, is smart banner ads. When each banner ad is displayed on a clients web site, we take note of exactly where on the page it was placed each and every time it is displayed. This allows us to produce statistics on banner position quality and deliver improved campaign results to our clients. One of the other added bonuses of this technology is it allows us to detect cheats instantly.

If a website is automatically flagged as trying to ‘cheat’ the system, then we wont count the impressions and clicks against your campaign, giving you an untampered (and higher) click through rate.

Do banner exchanges really work?

October 5th, 2009

There is a lot of bad press on the web regarding banner exchanges and if they do actually deliver on their promise of cost-effective marketing.

  • Are the banners being placed in a high visibility position on other websites?
  • Are the banners being shown to the correct target audience/country/market?
  • How do I know people are not just clicking on my banner ad’s for their own gain?

We believe there are a lot of advantages to complimenting your internet advertising with a quality banner exchange service. One the key reasons is cost, banner advertising does work. In fact, many of our clients actually receive conversion rates many times over that of primarily text-based advertising networks such as Google Adwords.
