So just how smart are our banner ads?

July 9th, 2010 by Brinkin No comments »

When people visit your site, they are doing so because of your unique content. So why do so many advertising companies (and website owners) bombard visitors with advertising that is completely irrelevant to what they are looking for. People are smart, and if you treat them that way you provide a much better site experience which results in return visits and increased sales. We treat each one of your visitors as an individual, in a fraction of a second analyse over 100 indicators to determine their personality and interests, which results in a banners that is relevant to that specific visitor, we even have some banners that are ‘wet’ when its raining in a visitors city, and bright when it’s sunny outside.

While i’m on this topic, we get a lot of confused customers when they first activate our banners on their website, because it keeps displaying the Brinkin Banners advertisements – but if you think about it, this makes complete sense. Your a web administrator and this is a relevant banner to your personality type.

Google Adsense provides a similar experience, however Adsense primarily focuses on what you have just searched for, while this can be great for some things, it also produces random results, we think our personality targeting system is much closer to the mark.

We think our ad’s are pretty smart, but don’t take our word for it – click here and see for yourself.

In online advertising, every company talks about behavioral marketing and demographic targeting, however as the advertising provider they often keep this information to themselves. Advertisers are forced to blanket market entire countries in the hope to attract clicks for their website / blog / service.

The internet is constantly changing, companies need to adapt quickly to keep in front of the competition and increase their revenue. Online Advertising has long been measured in terms of the number of page views a website receives, or eCPM. This is no longer relevant in todays world of web 2.0 websites, AJAX, flash and other technologies. Visitors can quite easily stay on a single page without refreshing for 20 minutes or longer. Website owners are forced to cripple their technology to ensure that page loads are forced to provide new ad creatives.

We don’t agree with this, and being the smart banner advertising company are making the change. If an ad doesn’t grab the attention of a visitor straight away, then it most likely wont. In fact, our statistics show that average time to a click is about 14 seconds. Our advertising system will automatically rotate our ad creatives every minute to maximise your impressions and your earnings. We also take advantage of visitor immersion technology, which actively monitors if visitors are surfing the site, or if they have left the browser running and walked away, which further improves your website CTR and return for advertisers.

Our banner advertising system is now flash 10 compliant, which means that you can upload any existing flash banner you have designed, and it will instantly work. No need to adjust flashvars and other programming requirements like other advertising platforms.

Having a flash banner is so important to improving your campaign results, that when you purchase selected advertising packages from us, we will build you an animated flash banner at no additional charge.

How to get rid of public service announcement ads on your Google AdSense panels

November 23rd, 2009 by Brinkin No comments »

If you are using Google AdSense on your websites then you may be missing out on potential ad impressions and earnings. By default, Google shows public service ads (PSAs) if no targeted ads are available. Even if these ads are clicked, you are not rewarded. By specifying our banner advertising service as your alternative URL, you can make sure that your advertising space is always being used effectively, either by targeted Google ads or by the Brinkin Banner Exchange. Even if you never see public service ads when you visit your website, it is likely that visitors from other geographic locations are still receiving them due to the targeted nature of online advertising.

By Joining the Brinkin Banner Exchange, you will also get stats on how many visitors would have been displayed public service ads, and even better – you can earn impression credits for displaying our ad’s instead.

To replace your public service ads, simply:
1. Register an account with us here – it’s free.
2. Use the Get Code menu, and select Google Public Service Ads Replacement.
3. Paste the url provided into your Google AdSense account for each panel and start earning.

Behavioural Targeted Advertising

October 15th, 2009 by Brinkin No comments »

Behavioral targeted advertising is the latest buzz word in the industry. What is it, and how does it help you market your product? Well, Behavioural advertising is the idea that visitors are more likely to click on ad’s that interest them – so why not just show them ad’s that interest them.

It’s easier said then done, but really imagine the benefits of advertising golf clubs just to golfers (or at least people who are interested in golf), advertising mechanics services to visitors who own a vehicle. The list goes on. Almost all of the advertising networks on the internet are utilising targeted ad’s, google call’s them interest-based advertising. But just how much can the advertisers really know about a person to target ad’s? More then you would think. We have set up a demonstration page just to show you some of the amazing information that can be learnt just from understanding your visitors.

To see what we already know about you, have a look at just how smart our banner advertising exchange really is. This is why we are the smart banner exchange, and really do provide value to our advertisers and their website visitors who are able to find product/services of interest.

How do you know your banners are actually being displayed?

October 8th, 2009 by Brinkin No comments »

One of the big issues with banner exchanges, is that everyone wants to be rewarded for displaying banner ad’s, but no-one really wants them on their website. So how do you know when you buy ad’s that they will be shown to visitors?

Easy. One of the things we are proud of at Brinkin Banner Exchange, is smart banner ads. When each banner ad is displayed on a clients web site, we take note of exactly where on the page it was placed each and every time it is displayed. This allows us to produce statistics on banner position quality and deliver improved campaign results to our clients. One of the other added bonuses of this technology is it allows us to detect cheats instantly.

If a website is automatically flagged as trying to ‘cheat’ the system, then we wont count the impressions and clicks against your campaign, giving you an untampered (and higher) click through rate.

Do banner exchanges really work?

October 5th, 2009 by Brinkin No comments »

There is a lot of bad press on the web regarding banner exchanges and if they do actually deliver on their promise of cost-effective marketing.

  • Are the banners being placed in a high visibility position on other websites?
  • Are the banners being shown to the correct target audience/country/market?
  • How do I know people are not just clicking on my banner ad’s for their own gain?

We believe there are a lot of advantages to complimenting your internet advertising with a quality banner exchange service. One the key reasons is cost, banner advertising does work. In fact, many of our clients actually receive conversion rates many times over that of primarily text-based advertising networks such as Google Adwords.

So why us?
We have solved these issues though our smart banner advertising system. Unlike other banner networks, we actually target your banner to websites which will provide you with the best result. We automatically prevent fraud and we even monitor where your banners are being positioned down to the pixel. Our banner advertising engine is constantly reviewing your banner campaign to work out how best to increase your click-through-rate (CTR) and your return on your marketing investment – as that is how we measure our success. We believe we can deliver a better return for far less then you would spend elsewhere, so why not signup and see for yourself – it’s free.

We are serious about being different and over the next few post’s we will disclose just what we mean by that and why we think that our banner exchange is a fantastic marketing tool for everyone. If you would like more information on why us, click here.
